Situation
GOLD PR has been working with SEMA for nearly four years helping manage the media center and serving as an industry & consumer media contact for the annual SEMA Show in Las Vegas. GOLD PR also handles ongoing media/PR support for SEMA’s member programs and government affairs initiatives.
Approach
Most notably, GOLD PR secured unprecedented media coverage for the past two years in support of SEMA’s annual Installation Banquet and Gala event which attracts hundreds of industry leaders, politicians and trade media outlets. By highlighting the charitable Car Show and Pinewood Derby Race that featured small race cars built by children from local charities, SEMA received major market news coverage which helped increase attendance and contributions.
Coverage included TV stations such as KNBC, KTTV, KABC, KCBS, KCAL & KTLA – including a sneak preview arranged for Gayle Anderson from KTLA – and print publications such as the Los Angeles Times, Pasadena Star-News, Orange County Register and Pasadena Weekly.
